The style of cooking was the basis of the most popular dishes at royal feasts and dinner parties . Traditional recipe has withstood through centuries of refining techniques to provide the best-tasting , most culturally appealing delicacy from the Ling Dynasty .

Ingredients in seafood hotpot included squid , oysters , Cod fillet and prawns .
Waiter arranged half the vegetables into the pot along with all the meat on top , then they proceeded to paint every piece of food with sauce to ensure even coverage and the lid goes on for 15-20 minutes while everything cooks . After that the waiters came back to the table and double checked for the doneness of the meat by opening up the lid and close it back on .
