Tujo Brings a New Brand of Retro to the Heart of the City | Malaysia

Tujo is set to serve a fresh flavour of Retro Blast as it introduces its refreshed concept that caters to anyone and everyone craving the kind of nights that were all about the funky tunes and great company. Whether you partied it up disco style in the late 80s, did the Macarena in the 90s, or even bid ‘Bye, bye, bye” to N’Sync in the early 2000s, Tujo is set to bring it all back bigger and better.

Sporting a new tagline, ‘Eat, Drink, Play’, Tujo has launched its themed nights, giving its patrons something different to look forward to every night: Tujo starts the week right with CHILL vibes to help you unwind from the Monday blues. Featuring special acoustic performances and drink promotions throughout the night, you’ll be looking forward to the rest of the week in no time.
Tuesdays are all about PLAY time, as Tujo introduces its game night. With a brand-new pool table and dart machines, patrons will have the opportunity to take on the Tujo House Champ in their game of choice. Anyone who defeats the House Champ in pool or darts will receive RM30 Tujo dining vouchers.  For those looking to be part of the action, but in a less strenuous activity, Tuesday night is also Bingo night, with an opportunity to win an RM10 Tujo Dining Voucher for the first one to get 5 numbers in a row. On top of that, you’ll be able to enjoy the Beer Buffet for an hour (RM70++) or two (RM110++) as you take on the games for the night.
It’s Ladies Night on WINK Wednesdays, featuring special cocktails and promotions specially for the women. Ladies need to be sure to wear their dancing shoes to Tujo on Wednesdays as the resident DJ, Sanjay Paramount will be playing the best R&B tunes from the 90s and early 00s. Ladies who post their best poses with the “house hot hunks” on WINK Wednesdays also stand to win a bottle of bubbly every week.

On Thursday nights, Tujo turns it up to full retro blast with its resident LIVE band, “Albert, Vijay & Bada”. As one of the city’s liveliest cover bands, the band will be ensuring you stay on the dancefloor with their setlist of retro tunes – from The Beatles to Queen, there’s no way one can resist dancing the night away. Thursdays at Tujo will also feature performances by Malaysia's Queen of Soul Elvira Arul and supreme songstress Joy Victor who will take turns to wow Tujo patrons on alternate weeks. To sweeten the deal, patrons can enjoy an array of premium red and white wines from the Wine Buffet. The DANCE party continues when Friday night rolls around with DJ Jinggo serving up the best party hits from our favourite eras.
On Saturday, indulge in an exotic journey as Goa takes over for the day. Having just relocated from its previous location last year, Goa’s signature dishes by the Queen of Spice, Celebrity Chef Sapna Anand, take precedence on the weekends, enabling guests to take their taste buds on a journey and EXPLORE the tantalizing flavours of Modern Indian Cuisine, including the Thali Set dinner (starting at RM35++) which is available on weekends and comes with a choice of main, and unlimited appams, flavoured rice and sides. All of this is complemented by special contemporary performances that are bound to transport you to India.

“Here at Tujo, its always been about the overall experience. Our patrons are all lively, fun, and know how to have a great time. So, we simply wanted to be the venue that enables them to do so by offering different activities and entertainment each night of the week. There’s something for everyone at the Tujo ‘playground’, and we’re excited to be able to showcase that more vividly through our new concept,” explained Brian Choo, Executive Director of SOUL Society.
Further complementing the new Tujo, several new dishes were also added to the menu to mark the new chapter. Taking comfort food to new heights, Tujo’s menu features a plethora of local and international delights with additions such as the Wagyu Fried Kway Teow, the Ayam Percik Platter, the Tujo Wagyu Burger, Crispy Chicken Burger, Seafood Marinara as well as the Malaysiana Pizza, a unique nasi lemak pizza with traditional chicken floss, to name a few. For those looking for smaller bites, Tujo has that covered too with their Sausage & Spice dish, Tomato or Mushroom Bruschetta, and Nibbles Platter.
